Community Action Program for Children (CAP – C)

What will I do?

A:

Provide childcare for fun parent support group

Learn the importance of play with children
Experience working with children 0-6
Receive training and certification
Have fun

What qualifications do I need?

A:

Be 19 years or older
The desire to work with young children

Restorative Justice Opportunity

Community members are needed to facilitate Community Justice Forums.

Q:

Who are the participants in these forums?

A:

Victims and young offenders of crime with their respective families.

Q:

What is the cost for training?

A:

Training is free of charge.

Q:

Is there any other training involved?

A:

Yes, volunteers can take advantage of other free training offered such as first aid, CPR, and non-violent crisis intervention.

Q:

Will I learn other skills?

A:

In addition to gaining facilitation, interview and presentation skills, you will play an active role in helping to create a safer community for youth and residents of Richmond.
